TODAY'S EPISODE:

00:39

Hello, and welcome to episode number 37 of marketing interruption. I'm your host, Andrew Maffettone. Today I'm going to go through six of the top free email newsletters that I think every marketer, every business person and every e-commerce seller should definitely subscribe to. So originally, this was five and then I actually found one a week ago and realize oh shit, I gotta add them. So now we're at six. So six different of these and I'm just going to kind of hammer through them real quick. So my big favorite one is the morning brew. A lot of people probably heard from morning brew the interviews with the founders are amazing if you can ever find them. I've heard them interviewed on a bunch of different podcasts about how they got started. But it's a great easy to digest, slightly comical daily newsletter that sends out updates on just business in general. Yes, it has some marketing, it has some e commerce, it has some stocks, it has some political stuff. It's really just kind of an overall of what happened the day before, it's a great way for you to start your day. By the way, every single one of these newsletters that I'm going to mention all sends their newsletter at the same time. So if any of you are wondering about doing a daily newsletter, the Primetime clearly seems to be anytime between 7 and 8 am in the morning, but morning brew, awesome top one, they have a spin off actually they've several spin offs, but my favorite spin off of course. Marketing bro. So this is the same concept this actually isn't daily. This one as of right now is Monday, Wednesday and Friday and this is sent with the same concept the same feel it looks the exact same. The only difference is that it's all marketing related you'll actually get some more e-commerce stuff out there I know a lot of my listeners e commerce so that will might help a little bit more. But it's it's definitely all marketing related dives into a lot of big high stuff of you know what's Facebook doing and what ad platform is working in Baldwin is as low as you know, tweaking small SEO things. Another one, the new one that I just added on is the hustle. The hustle is awesome. I just started reading that one that one dives deep into a lot of marketing stuff but also some business stuff. The click is another great one. They kind of touch on a lot of really all over the place with marketing. That one's a lot to take in. If you once you're ready to read it sit down and enjoy it because it's long. A lot of times they don't even It's almost like reading a blog post. But it is a very different type of blog post. It's something that still kind of ties into what's been going on recently. The Daily Carnage is another one from an agency called Carnage or carny, I think, sorry, guys, um, they're, they do a handpick list of a ton of different stuff of marketing that's been going on, they'll always feature, you know, some famous company that's doing well, or an influencer that's been mentioned in there. But always make sure that they're kind of touching on as much marketing stuff as possible. And every now and then they're gonna throw in like a cocktail that they think you should try. And then the last one is the skim skim is a little bit similar to morning brew, where it kind of touches on everything. There are some politics and more just high volume or I'm sorry, high level like business stuff that is a little bit less relevant to specific e commerce things if you're a seller. But it's one of those things where I start my day reading off all these just to make sure I didn't miss anything yesterday that I should have known about. But it's another nice way to kind of easier into the day. And I get a lot of my ideas from a lot of these newsletters that are sending out different things about this company to this or here's this tactic or this tweak or something that you should try. So I'm obviously going to link every single one of these newsletters in the show notes, but I definitely suggest going subscribing to all of them if you can, but if not, at least one of them. And that is all I wanted to touch on today. So I will see you all tomorrow.
